These general conditions regulate the distance selling relationship between Cortijo de Calatrava and the user or customer, in accordance with the legal stipulations and Spanish regulations.

The illustrations and/or photographs of the products offered on this website are intended to show a general idea of them and none of them will form part of the sales contract between Cortijo de Calatrava and the user or customer. Please note that olive oil, the main product of our website, is a "living" product and its color evolves with time.

Prices

The final prices of the products are those shown on our website at the time the order is placed. The marked prices are indicated in euros and include 10% VAT. Transport costs (if any) and taxes are clearly specified before processing the payment.

 

Purchasing process

The purchase process of any of our products through our website is extremely simple, just let yourself go through the different screens and you will be able to conclude your purchase successfully from your home in a few minutes. However, below, we describe the whole process. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any difficulty.

 

The shopping cart.

Enter our store and choose the product you are most interested in. Once you have chosen the product, click on the "add to cart" button below the chosen product. Automatically that product will be added to the contents of the basket which will be displayed at that moment and will offer you two alternatives: "continue shopping" or "go to the checkout". Click on "continue shopping" if you want to go back to our store or click on "go to checkout" where you can view the products in the shopping cart and their prices.

You will be able to manage the content of the cart by increasing or decreasing the number of units of a product or eliminating it after having included it. If you have forgotten to buy a product, click back in your browser and you will return to the store keeping the products you have already purchased in the cart, to which you can return as many times as you want, as it will appear on the right side of the menu bar, in a bright green color.

 

Finalize purchase.

Once you have defined the contents of your cart, proceed to finalize the purchase. At this point you must choose the shipping option in the event that there are several proposals, as well as the method of payment of the three proposals and that are specified below, you must also identify yourself with your customer account if you already had it or recording your identification and delivery data in the case of being a new customer. Also, if you wish, you can include any observation or comment in the space reserved for it. Finally, you must accept the general terms and conditions of sale and click on the "finalize purchase" button located at the bottom right.

Methods of payment:

  • Credit card:
    • If you choose this option, the web will take you directly to the payment gateway, where you can pay with the credit cards supported by this system (virtual POS of La Caixa). All you have to do is fill in the card number, the expiration date (month and year) and the validation code (three-digit code on the back of the card). All transmissions are encrypted and at no time do we store any information about your credit cards.
  • Bank transfer.
    • If you have chosen the bank transfer option when you click on "buy", you will see the list of the products purchased, with their amounts, the cost of transport and the total to be paid. You will also be shown the bank account numbers where you should make the transfer, either through the internet or physically from your bank.
  • Paypal.
    • If you choose this option, please note that you will be charged a small handling fee, which are duly specified. When you click on the finalize purchase button, it will link you directly to the paypal website so that you can identify yourself and finalize the payment with any of the cards supported by this system, following their instructions.

Shipping

The availability of the products offered on our website may vary depending on demand. Although we update our stock periodically, the product requested by the customer may be out of stock at that time. In this case the customer will be informed, offering the alternatives of waiting until the missing product is received, the replacement by another of similar or higher category, the shipment of the remaining products and the refund of the price of the missing product or the cancellation of the order with full refund of the amount paid.

 

Delivery

The shipping and delivery times for products in stock are between 1 to 3 working days. For international destinations delivery times may vary from 5 to 8 days approximately, depending on the destination. In case of not having stock of any product this term can be extended until the reception of the corresponding product, in which case the customer will be informed of this circumstance.

Deliveries will be made to the address indicated in the order, by means of the chosen carrier if this option is possible, otherwise our usual carrier will be used. The delivery will be made on the first floor of the recipient's building in the case of living in an apartment. Carriers are not obliged to access upper floors although they usually do.

The customer must inspect the package(s) at the time of delivery and note on the corresponding delivery note any incident observed in them. If it appreciates defect, breakage or any other anomalous incidence, it will have to communicate it as soon as possible to 1900@cortijodecalatrava.com. If the customer does not make such notification, it will be definitively assumed that the products are, in all respects, in accordance with the contract and free of any defect that would be evident in a reasonable examination, and consequently, the customer will be deemed to have accepted the products.

 

Right of withdrawal and complaints

The buyer will have a period of fourteen calendar days, from the day of receipt of the product, to cancel all or part of your purchase without penalty and without stating the reasons. The exercise of the right of withdrawal shall not be subject to any formality, suffice it for the customer to contact the Cortijo de Calatrava indicating their desire to withdraw from their purchase in whole or in part.

In exercising your right of withdrawal The customer must return the products purchased carriage paid and in the same condition in which they received them. Once received the return package and checked its condition, Cortijo de Calatrava will pay the amount corresponding to the returned products. During the return process, the customer is responsible for any loss or damage to the products.

 

Warranty and returns

Cortijo de Calatrava guarantees the quality of its products under the legally established conditions. However, if the customer receives a product with any defect in its quality, shall be entitled to replacement of the defective product for another of equal or similar characteristics or the compensation of the amount thereof and the cost of transportation, if any. To this effect, he/she should communicate it as soon as possible, so that the different alternatives can be offered to him/her.
